Prior to founding Evoke, Reid held numerous senior and executive leadership roles with agencies such as Digitas Health, imc2, and Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare. Aside from his accomplishments in business, he is an avid rugby fan and a former player, who has represented the United States in the Rugby League.
Chief Operations Officer
Heather has more than 15 years of marketing operations experience across numerous channels, with a concentration in healthcare marketing. As COO, Heather constructs, supports, and leads Evoke's processes throughout the organization to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality and profitable work. Heather has served in similar executive leadership roles at ListenLogic and Cadient Group. When she's not helping to manage the agency operations, Heather enjoys unwinding with a good book and spending time with her husband, children, and rescued Pug/Chihuahua mix.
Chief Creative Officer
Jonathan has more than 18 years of health and wellness expertise to go along with some of the most well-known creative in the industry. Prior to Evoke, he oversaw consumer healthcare at Ogilvy & Mather for nine years, partnering with clients such as Allergan, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, and Unilever. As CCO, Jonathan is devoted to making brands bigger and more compelling. Moving them to more interesting and engaging places. And when not trying to bring out the greatness of companies and brands, Jonathan does try to find time to sleep around the schedules of his wife Katie, their four-year-old Joshua, and two-year-old twins Zoe and Dean.
Mike brings more than 15 years of experience leading business and brand strategy, with a strong focus on integrated healthcare marketing and advertising. As Executive Vice President, Strategy, Mike leads Evoke's strategy and planning practice, and provides guidance to clients who are looking to find better ways to build more human relationships with audiences and build strong, enduring brands. He has led the strategy for several Evoke clients, including Amgen, Genentech, Gilead, and Noven Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Evoke, Mike served as Executive Director, Strategy at G2 USA. He received a BA in Creative Writing and Theatre from Purchase College, and is currently pursuing his MBA in Marketing Strategy at the Zicklin School of Business.
Tom offers over 15 years of experience in the integrated healthcare marketing, advertising, and consulting fields. As managing director of the Philadelphia office, he draws on his involvement with many of the world's top healthcare companies to lead strategic engagements, foster client relationships, and apply industry expertise, ensuring that deliverables are on target with brand objectives. Prior to joining Evoke, Tom was Vice President at imc2, where he led the New York and Philadelphia health and wellness practices. Tom holds a BS in Marketing and an MBA from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. When he's not leading the Philadelphia office, Tom can be found coaching one of his four children to victory on the soccer field.

As an experienced client services lead, Chris has been immersed in the world of healthcare marketing for more than a decade. In his role as SVP, Client Partner, he works to develop strategic vision, ensure effective integration of multichannel tactics, oversee agency partnerships, and manage client relationships. Above all, Chris strives to guarantee the quality of Evoke's end product. Prior to joining Evoke, Chris served as an Account Director, Senior Account Director, and ultimately, Client Relationship Director at Heartbeat Digital. Besides safeguarding his client's vision, Chris is passionate about fitness, yoga, and travel.

Elissa's effusive personality and seize-the-day attitude have long been known to those who have worked with her in the industry over the past 10 years. Elissa has the innate ability to lead teams and cultivate lasting partnerships to build and foster meaningful brands. Her contagious smile and determined approach motivate her teams to develop inspirational work. She has been at the forefront of memorable corporate identity launches and successful HCP and DTC brand campaign launches within rare diseases, women's health, men's health, and CNS. Elissa holds a BA in Criminology from the University of Maryland; she just loves to understand the true motivation behind behaviors.

Eric brings 12 years of experience in integrated healthcare marketing across multiple therapeutic categories. As VP, Client Partner, Eric manages client relationships, ensures exceptional client service and operational excellence, aids in developing brands' strategic visions, ensures strategic integration across multichannel tactics, and oversees agency partnerships. Over his career, he has worked with a range of clients, including Amgen, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol-Myers Squib, CSL Behring, Pfizer, Eisai, Novogyne, and Wyeth. Prior to joining Evoke, Eric served as an account lead at Digitas Health. Outside of the office, Eric enjoys fitness and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Katherine brings a varied experience in health, across both the consumer and professional fronts, to the Evoke team. She combines her passion for the space with a strategic background and a focus on delivering solutions to clients and growth to their brands. Before joining Evoke, Katherine worked in the virology space at LBI Health, along with roles at Unit 7, Interbrand, and LLNS. Katherine received her MBA from Harvard Business School. When not working with clients and her team, she relishes the chance to try new spicy cuisine and debate American historical minutia.

Desmond has been lucky enough to work across a very diverse range of businesses over 15 years: from CPG to DTC, from domestic to international, from broad to niche market. He is a launch specialist who has used his deep experience in brand strategy, content development, and account leadership to serve major clients like Pfizer, Merck, and Cadbury. In addition to New York, Desmond has also worked in London. Desmond graduated from Upsala College with a B.A. in Marketing. Away from the office, you'll likely find him on a paddleboard somewhere in the Long Island Sound.

JC's experience spans 20 years across the advertising realm — consumed with telling lasting, meaningful brand stories. Prior to joining Evoke, JC worked with Ogilvy's consumer health group, where he delivered highly effective and pervasively creative work for a wide range of well-known healthcare clients like Pfizer, Merck, Bayer, Allergan, J&J, BMS, GSK, and Unilever. JC holds a BA in Advertising and Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts, NYC. Presently, JC lives in Long Island with his wife, Lisa and their three children, Cole, Natalie, and Dylan.
Mark has spent more than 15 years perfecting his skills within the Pharmaceutical Industry. As the VP, Strategy at Evoke, he expertly identifies strategic opportunities for clients, which are insight-driven, and exude sound business impact. Prior to joining Evoke, Mark served in similar roles within the strategy and planning groups at Rosetta, imc2, Medco Health Solutions, and Harte-Hanks. Mark completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University and went on to attend LaSalle University's Master's program. He is an avid pop-culture film buff and enjoys cooking and craft-brewing in his free time.

Deb has more than 20 years of experience in account planning across a wide variety of brands. For the past 12 years, she has focused exclusively on health and wellness, serving as the strategic force behind creative for brands at AstraZeneca, Shire, and AbbVie Inc. As VP of Strategic Planning at Evoke, Deb applies her energy and creativity to ensure that our brand strategies are insight-based, and our work reflects the true voice of the customer. Having worked on both the Agency and Client sides of the business, she brings a holistic perspective to the issues facing our clients, and a creative approach to addressing them. When she's not busy dealing with the latest dramas of her two teenage daughters, Deb can be found hiding out at the movies.
Senior Director, Strategic Planning
John has spent over 10 years in advertising, working with some of the most iconic pharmaceutical/wellness brands of our time. In his role as Senior Director, Strategic Planning at Evoke, John is responsible for inspiring strategy that creates meaningful connections between brands and people—connections that drive behavior change and deliver tangible results for clients. Prior to joining Evoke, John held strategic leadership positions at CDM, McgarryBowen, Deutsch, and Euro RSCG. John received an MS in Brand Planning from the VCU Brandcenter and a BS in Chemistry from St. Joseph's College.
Developing websites since 1997, James has worked with an array of large and small businesses. Through these experiences, he has gained practical knowledge of all facets of web development—from design and build, to deployment and integration. In his current role, James manages Evoke's web development and technology teams, while acting as the lead client interface for technology-related matters. Prior to joining Evoke, James operated his own web development company for over 10 years.
Brian Whalen, PhD
VP, Science and Medicine
Dr. Whalen has over seven years of experience in HCP pharmaceutical promotion, focusing on peer-to-peer medical education and advertising. As VP, Science and Medicine, he coordinates with Evoke's staff and clients to ensure the medical relevance of professional projects, and align these with overall brand strategies. Prior to joining Evoke, Brian served as Scientific Director at LBi Health, and Director, Medical Strategy at CCG Metamedia. Brian completed his doctorate in Neurobiology at Harvard University, where his thesis research examined early neurotoxic events in Alzheimer's disease. Brian received a BA in Biological Sciences from Columbia University.
