Reid Connolly

Twice named in PharmaVOICE 100 as one of the most inspiring people in the life sciences, Reid is responsible for driving Evoke's strategic vision and partnering with clients to develop rich, insight-driven strategies that shift brand business. Prior to founding Evoke, Reid held numerous senior and executive leadership roles with agencies such as Digitas Health, imc2, and Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare. Aside from his accomplishments in business, he is an avid rugby fan and a former player, who has represented the United States in Rugby League.

As COO, Heather is the hand that both holds our performance driven process together and prepares it for the future. She develops our talent, services, and infrastructure, and vigilantly guards our culture—all in the service of inspiring our employees, delivering world-class work to clients and building an agency we all can be proud of. In her spare time, you'll find Heather and her husband cheering on their children to a little league victory or unwinding with a good book, sometimes at the same time.

Tom Donnelly
President
Tom offers over 18 years of experience in the integrated healthcare marketing, advertising, and consulting fields. As President, he draws on his involvement with many of the world's top healthcare companies to lead strategic engagements and foster strong client relationships. Prior to joining Evoke, Tom was Vice President at imc2, where he led the New York and Philadelphia health and wellness practices. Tom holds a BS in Marketing and an MBA from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. In his downtime from leading the 4 Evoke Health offices, Tom can be found cheering on or coaching one of his 5 children to victory on the soccer field.

Mike Dennelly
Chief Strategy Officer
Mike brings more than 16 years of experience leading business and brand strategy, with a strong focus on integrated healthcare marketing and advertising. As Chief Strategy Officer, Mike leads Evoke's strategy and planning practice, and provides guidance to clients who are looking to find better ways to build more human relationships with audiences and build strong, enduring brands. Prior to joining Evoke, Mike served as Executive Director, Strategy at G2 USA. He received a BA in Creative Writing and Theatre from Purchase College, and is currently pursuing his MBA in Marketing Strategy at the Zicklin School of Business.

David Levin
Managing Director
David has spent nearly 20 years focused on health and wellness marketing to consumers and patients. As Managing Director of the Chicago office, David utilizes his expertise in strategic brand development, cross-channel marketing, multi-discipline leadership and consumer/HCP integration to drive brand performance. David has led cross-functional teams for numerous first time, integrated direct-to-consumer campaign launches, including some of the most well-known brands in the industry. Prior to his position at Evoke Health, David held various senior-level account management positions at AbelsonTaylor, DraftFCB, and Deutsch. Over the years he's been fortunate to have partnered with leading biotech, pharma and device clients, including AbbVie, Abbott Nutrition, Amgen, Otsuka, Lundbeck, Pfizer, Novartis, and Zeltiq. David's experience spans many diverse areas, including allergy, aesthetic dermatology, depression/mood disorders, cholesterol, cardiovascular, IBS, adult nutrition, OTCs, oncology, psoriasis, and rheumatology. When the weather is decent in Chicago, on weekends David can be found on a soccer field either playing or cheering at his daughter's games.

James Tsuyuki

Developing websites since 1997, James has worked with an array of large and small businesses. Through these experiences, he has gained practical knowledge of all facets of web development—from design and build, to deployment and integration. In his current role, James manages Evoke's web development and technology teams, while acting as the lead client interface for technology-related matters. Prior to joining Evoke, James operated his own web development company for over 10 years.

David Dunn
Managing Director
David leads the Los Angeles team, creating our leading health and wellness agency offering on the West Coast. A pharmacologist by training, David brings over 30 years of experience and a diverse background—from his early days at Merck, to serving as the COO and publisher of one of Canada's largest medical publishing operations, and executive leadership positions at both McCann and Huntsworth Health. A "hands-on" leader, David has driven client growth and success "from the trenches," serving as strategic and tactical lead for a diverse spectrum of US and global portfolios across multiple disciplines.

Samantha Dolin
EVP, Group Creative Director
Sam brings more than 17 years of experience in creative advertising with an emphasis on healthcare. As Group Creative Director at Evoke Health, she has served in a lead creative role, actively involved in the strategy, concepting, and execution for accounts such as Jardiance/Glyxambi, as well as past work on Spiriva and Dulcolax. Prior to joining Evoke Health, Sam was a creative lead at Digitas Health, where she launched several successful new products. She has worked with a variety of leading companies, including Novo Nordisk, AstraZeneca, Merck, Pfizer, and Roche. Her experience spans DTC and HCP, digital and offline, television, mobile, and global. Sam holds a BS in Fine Arts from Skidmore College.

Scott Lewis
Executive Creative Director
Throughout his career, Scott has been able to combine his love for understanding how things work with a unique ability to collaborate within a team. This has enabled him to build creative departments, and launch campaigns borne from strategic insight that span all relevant channels and draw clear and measurable responses from their audiences. He has helped launch blockbuster brands in DTC pharmaceutical for companies such as Janssen, BMS, and AstraZeneca. He has an uncommonly diverse background in the art of communication, starting in multi‑media, and wearing many more hats during his early years working in TV and film series development and production. His agency experience that followed taught him the fine (and not so fine) art of everything from Brand 360 campaigns to eCRM digital marketing. He has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Computing Science, and a degree in Art and Visual Design.

Dave Cohen
Executive Creative Director
Dave brings more than two decades of experience creating famous and effective fully-integrated campaigns for DTC and OTC brands, while winning numerous EFFIE awards, multiple pharma industry awards, and even a Cannes Lion. Clients often refer to Dave as the most strategic ECD they have ever worked with—hands-on in every step of the process from listening and understanding their business needs, to planning, creating, and final production. Most recently, Dave led the charge to create both unbranded and branded campaigns for the GSK Vaccines portfolio, as well as the global GSK network on Nicorette and Nicoderm and Tums and Eno. He drove the 50+ target to rethink AARP and embrace the social mission of the AARP Foundation to combat hunger, ageism, and promote caregiving; and reintroduced brands like Bausch & Lomb, GE Healthcare MR, and Emergen-C.

Elissa Sherman

Elissa's effusive personality and seize-the-day attitude have long been known to those who have worked with her in the industry over the past 10 years. Elissa has the innate ability to lead teams and cultivate lasting partnerships to build and foster meaningful brands. Her contagious smile and determined approach motivate her teams to develop inspirational work. She has been at the forefront of memorable corporate identity launches and successful HCP and DTC brand campaign launches within rare diseases, women's health, men's health, and CNS. Elissa holds a BA in Criminology from the University of Maryland; she just loves to understand the true motivation behind behaviors.

Deb Silverman
SVP, Strategic Planning
Deb has more than 20 years of experience in account planning across a wide variety of brands. For the past 12 years, she has focused exclusively on health and wellness, serving as the strategic force behind creative for brands at AstraZeneca, Shire, and AbbVie Inc. As VP of Strategic Planning at Evoke, Deb applies her energy and creativity to ensure that our brand strategies are insight-based, and our work reflects the true voice of the customer. Having worked on both the Agency and Client sides of the business, she brings a holistic perspective to the issues facing our clients, and a creative approach to addressing them. When she's not busy dealing with the latest dramas of her two teenage daughters, Deb can be found hiding out at the movies.

Brian Whalen, PhD
SVP, Science and Medicine
Dr. Whalen has over seven years of experience in HCP pharmaceutical promotion, focusing on peer-to-peer medical education and advertising. As VP, Science and Medicine, he coordinates with Evoke's staff and clients to ensure the medical relevance of professional projects, and align these with overall brand strategies. Prior to joining Evoke, Brian served as Scientific Director at LBi Health, and Director, Medical Strategy at CCG Metamedia. Brian completed his doctorate in Neurobiology at Harvard University, where his thesis research examined early neurotoxic events in Alzheimer's disease. Brian received a BA in Biological Sciences from Columbia University.

JC's experience spans 20 years across the advertising realm—consumed with telling lasting, meaningful brand stories. Prior to joining Evoke, JC worked with Ogilvy's consumer health group, where he delivered highly effective and pervasively creative work for a wide range of well-known healthcare clients like Pfizer, Merck, Bayer, Allergan, J&J, BMS, GSK, and Unilever. JC holds a BA in Advertising and Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts, NYC. Presently, JC lives in Long Island with his wife, Lisa and their three children, Cole, Natalie, and Dylan.

Desmond Yuen
EVP, Client Partner
Desmond has been lucky enough to work across a very diverse range of businesses: from CPG to DTC, from domestic to international, from broad to niche markets. He is a launch specialist who has used his deep experience in brand strategy, content development, and account leadership to serve major brands like Viagra, Gardasil, Dentyne, and Benadryl. In addition to New York, Desmond has also worked in London. Away from the office, you'll likely find him on a paddleboard somewhere in the Long Island Sound.
